TextCase is a local Mac menu bar utility. Your text stays on your device. This page explains what the app does — and what it does not do — with your information.

Last updated: July 14, 2026

Summary

TextCase transforms text on your Mac. Processing happens locally. The app does not create accounts, does not require a login, and does not upload your text to MX Labs servers.

  • No cloud sync of your text content
  • No advertising identifiers or product analytics SDKs in the app
  • Preferences, draft text, and Recents are stored on your Mac using standard macOS storage

Who we are

TextCase is developed by MX Labs. If you have a privacy question about the app, email support@mxlabs.app.

What stays on your Mac

When you paste or type text into TextCase, that content is used only to apply the transform you choose and to show the result in the app. Transforms run on your device.

TextCase may also read from or write to the system clipboard when you use features such as Paste, Copy Result, or Paste + Transform — so the text can move between TextCase and other apps the way you expect on macOS.

Clipboard

Clipboard access is part of the product. TextCase does not send clipboard contents to MX Labs. Anything copied to the clipboard remains under macOS clipboard behavior and any other apps you use.

Local storage

TextCase stores a small amount of data on your Mac with standard macOS UserDefaults (and related local preferences), including:

  • Settings — shortcuts, transform preferences, appearance options, and similar controls
  • Draft text — workspace text may be saved locally so it can return when you reopen the popover
  • Recents — recent transform results kept on device so you can copy them again; you can clear Recents in the app

This information stays on your Mac unless you choose to share it (for example, by emailing a bug report yourself). Uninstalling the app or resetting related preferences removes locally stored app data according to normal macOS behavior.

What we do not collect

MX Labs does not use TextCase to collect:

  • Your transformed text or clipboard contents for our servers
  • Account profiles or sign-in credentials (the app has no account system)
  • Location data for advertising
  • Cross-app tracking for ads

If you email support, we receive only what you include in the message (and standard email metadata). We use that to respond and improve the product — not to build marketing profiles from your app text.

Apple and third parties

If you download TextCase from the Mac App Store, Apple processes purchase, download, and related App Store information under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. MX Labs does not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

The app may open links you choose (for example, documentation or support pages) in your browser. Those destinations have their own policies when you visit them.

This website

The TextCase pages on mxlabs.app may use normal website hosting and browser features (such as remembering that you dismissed an announcement bar in local storage). Visiting the site is separate from using the Mac app. The app does not depend on the website to transform your text.

Children

TextCase is a general productivity utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page if TextCase or our practices change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
